What Customers Say About LG Muziq LX-570 Phone (Sprint, Phone Only, No Service):

Sure, I would like better websurfing capabilities, but for now I will stick with my little LG Muziq and be quite satisfied. I can check my email on it, watch TV, listen to music, get turn-by-turn directions while driving, etc. I have had this phone for 1 1/2 years. I really like the phone. on a lightweight phone that easily fits in jeans pockets.

Not good for concerts or anywhere dark. Lots of calling usage + games will give me 1 day of battery life. Many more to explore. Of course there is no such thing as perfect, but we're coming close. It was five dollars a month for free downloading (call sprint).Battery: Battery life is average. There are no shuffle features and nor organization of mp3s - an all around sucky music player as you have to organize the audio files yourself (in the uploading program). If you really want to dump a bunch of games on your lg muziq, i'd recommend getting the data plan. One of the downfalls of this feature is the limited use of Sprint Music Store as an mp3 application/player.

Other: There is also some interesting programs like Music Composer where you can create midi file if you know how. Signal: I live in a hilly area and signal usually works. If this is one of your factors in getting the phone, I would pass this up. Sometimes it works crummy. However, I like that there is an option to reset the satellite signal, this usually brings back the signal bars.Bluetooth: Haven't had a problem with bluetooth use. This phone definitely above average as far as capabilites and features.Features: This phone has a nice variety of features.

I have photos of my friends in the front lcd display as well as the inside screen. Some features I mentioned would not be in the manual, rather floating on the internet(do some research). You can change the menu, icons, and background relatively easily. You can access these with Memory Card Manager.-You can put mp3s on your phone (via the microSD card).

Alarm clock is also handy, works loud and well. Some features are picky, but can be tolerated with some getting used to. Overall an awesome phone with more features than I need in a phone. 2-3 days if minimal calling/mp3/games are used. Sprint, however, doesn't make all the ones I list super easy to unlock:-You can create custom ring tones with your own mp3s.-You can put videos on a microSD card and watch them on your phone (I have a 4gb), although the screen is rather small. While this is annoying, it is not a big problem for me as I just import audio books onto my phone and make sure to upload them in the correct order. I have ran out of battery in public on multiple occasions, considering to purchase an additional battery.Interface: Nice, simple, customizable.

Good maybe for emergencies to capture a disaster if you have no other way or to mess around with your phone screen saver. I believe it is 3 cents per kilobyte. Here is a breakdown of what I feel is ALMOST a perfect phone. -There are a vast number of games available from the internet that can be uploaded to your phone, however, beware of data charges for ANYTHING that you download to your phone. Easy to connect and signal.Camera: Not the greatest quality.

I've had to swap it out for a replacement 3 times and I've had to buy 3 different chargers since the chargers seem to come with shorts in them and are easily broken. This phone is a hassle and a piece of junk. This phone has been nothing but trouble. When charging the phone you have to position the phone just right to charge or the connector wont work, also the side slots to the charger are way to thin, I have to use a screwdriver to flip open the charging cover.

The distance I can travel from the phone- using a Plantronics stereo headset- is about 10-15 ft. Yes, indeed. However, it is not always reliable. One of the reasons one might want a dedicated music player is because of the battery drain playing music may have on your phone.

I did not think it worth the additional, monthly cost. So, the upshot is that for my needs- at this time- the Muziq has been adequate for me- needing an MP3 player/phone combination. Since you can not mix and play songs & play lists on the fly- it should not be considered an Ipod replacement. However, when my contract is up a year from now- I will certainly change my player. Particularly if your music is recorded at a high bit rate. Again, the sound can be quite good- depending upon the transmitter receiving the signal. It is also appreciated that the Muziq does have a speaker. You may either find yourself not being able to listen to music as much as you want- or conversely, not be able to use your phone to talk as you might wish.

It is slow loading. This can be done quite easily on the Mac. One can easily listen to up to 5 hours without the battery being drained. However, loading music onto the Muziq is best done- quickly & most easily- by using a mini-SD card reader & a 4 gb. This means that it will not transmit to the typical car stereo. If you allow roaming- it will eat your battery life. is a fair amount of music- and the main reason why I have this phone.

Another reviewer noted that one could not use the Sprint Music software- USB cable to sync music from the Mac to this phone. However, my phone needs to be within 3 ft. It is annoying- but also can be rectified. results in serious penalties in load time. I have about 1,000 128 kb. Now, 4 gb. To make play lists on the phone itself is really not possible given a library this size. Fortunately, for the Muziq- the battery life is pretty good.

It is a convenient substitute for the $150 or so IPod Nano. This means that you must make play lists. One can use the shuffle feature to change the order of music within a play list- which does reduce the tendency of the play lists to become stale. And, for those who have interest- Sprint Music does have radio channels which may add to your listening pleasure. However, there is no way to adjust treble & base. But, even more damming, is the way in which the Sprint music application makes you play your music. It is extremely cumbersome to listen to music without a preset play list. At least in that it holds the same amount of music. Either way, I will need a player that more competently plays my music. Hope this helps those considering buying this phone.

The sound quality is excellent. Either I will switch to ATT and the IPhone- or, if that proves too expensive in continuing costs- will spring for a dedicated music player & get a cheap, serviceable, no frills phone. Further, it offers bluetooth capability, a music transmitter, and, of course, a phone- that the venerable IPod just can't provide. of the receiving radio in order for it to work. However, you will need to know how to create a mu3 playlist. And, if your headphones are substandard- the music will be too.The music transmitter is a nice touch. The hardware on the Muziq is fine- not so the software. That reminds me.

A key here- to reduce battery drain- is to make sure that the phone is set to utilize only the Sprint network for calls. Use it about every day for music- and the phone.First, I am a Mac user. The only way to do so is on your computer- and transmit the music and play lists to the Muziq using the 4 gb memory card. I would be happy to give instruction on how to do this on the Mac. In other words, I learned the hard way that having music recorded at bit rates above 128 kb. And, there are times when the pairing will deteriorate on its own.

Just wanted to add my two cents regarding my experience. The major one being the Sprint Music Store application.

SD mini card memory stick. It however, should not be considered as an IPod substitute.

The sound from the mono speaker is surprisingly good. However, the Sprint LG Muziq does have some significant drawbacks. And, the Muziq's usefulness as a music player depends a great deal on one's ability to plan and create engaging play lists.

There are many times when it takes me several minutes to pair the phone to the headphones. I have had this phone for about a year.

Let me explain. The bluetooth capability is great. songs on my player.

You will get through the prompts until you are given a wait-time and then. I have made 5 attempts to fix this and finally gave up. Plan on at least a two-hour call to get something accomplished and then prepare yourself to be utterly crazed with anger when you see that nothing was actually done (several times). Things have appeared on my bill for a year that shouldn't be there.

That'll take at least 3 hours. They're really useless. She said she did and of course, it's still on my bill. The absolute worst. If you call them today, July 15'th 2008, the system will acually tell you to call back later and HANG UP. They got rid of 80 % of their customer service workforce. They always say it's fixed but never is.

I'm turning off my phone today. A word about Sprint: They used to be the best, and they are now the worst. I'm not surprised at all. A telemarketer from Sprint called me trying to sell something and extend my contract, I laughed so hard, that she actually tried to fix my problems.
